One of South Africa's most consistent esports series returns for its third full year, as we are thrilled to announce the #MythicRoyale for 2022.

Fortnite and Apex Legends will be rotating throughout the course of the year, with players battling for their share of a total of R150,000 in cash up for grabs. Each series will feature a confirmed prize pool, but through a series of community goals, the prize pool may increase. These goals will vary for each series, so keep an eye on the Mythic Royale landing page and social media for more on them as they are revealed.

The ACGL team is always looking for ways to ensure you get the most from competing on our site. We decided against a subscription model, but we still wanted to be able to give you more. And starting today, we will do just that.

Welcome to the Apocalypse. This is the name of the first season which heralds a new series of systems on the site aimed to achieve our plans. More will be added and expanded on as future seasons roll around, but for now, the TL;DR additions are:

This past weekend saw a monumental moment in South African esports as the top participants in the LevelFox Showdown for FIFA 22 and Rocket League faced off live at Atlantic Studios in Cape Town.

Over the course of around nine hours, the players battled for glory in front of a live studio - and home - audience, bringing to life some of the best matches ever witnessed locally per title.

Following last week's Valorant Series announcement, this week we are pleased to announce that Rainbow Six Siege players on PC and PlayStation will have their own cash series thanks to ASTRO Gaming.

The Rainbow Six Series kicks off this March and runs for approximately six weeks. Registered teams will compete via a group phase into a cup and shield playoffs. The cup will feature the top teams, while the shield will run for all the other teams. On the line in the cup is R6,000 cash, while the shield teams will play for R500 cash.

We are thrilled to announce that alongside the regular one-day cups, ASTRO Gaming will be supporting a number of longer-form tournament series starting with Valorant!

The Valorant Series starts this March and runs for approximately six weeks. Registered teams will compete via a group phase into a cup and shield playoffs. The cup will feature the top teams, while the shield will run for all the other teams. On the line in the cup is R6,000 cash, while the shield teams will play for R500 cash.

The Sapphire Edge adidas Cup for FIFA 22 has been announced. On the line is R20,000 in adidas clothing vouchers.

The tournament series will be played on PlayStation on 26 and 27 February. The tournament will kick off with a group phase into playoffs.

As 2022 gets into full swing, we are thrilled to announce that our partnership with ASTRO Gaming continues to bring you more opportunities to win with a variety of cash cups, an ASTRO headset giveaway or few, as well as more surprises to be revealed soon.

There is a total of R5,000 in cash is up for grabs in the February and March one-day cups. Rocket League in both its original edition and mobile variation get some love, as does Clash Royale and PUBG Mobile.

We will be getting 2022 off to a bang thanks to the ACGL Tinkies Takeover. We have a multitude of cash cups scheduled from 17 January as part of the #TinkiesTakeover campaign.

As always, registration to these online cups is completely free. Alongside the cash up for grabs, remember that you will earn Embers which you can use to enter our regular giveaways.

It's December so that means it's a month of giving, and our partnership with ASTRO Gaming does just that with four cash cups on the agenda, as well as an ASTRO A10 headset giveaway. Or few.

There is a total of R11,000 in cash is up for grabs in the cups. Rainbow Six Siege and Rocket League are joined by Tekken 7 for December. Another new addition is the next entry into the Halo franchise - Halo Infinite.

Registrations are open for the December tournaments in the Vox Cup Series.

As we head into the final month of the year, we will be slowing down just a little in preparation for a new year with many more opportunities to win with Vox and Vox Gaming. The December Vox Cup Series features a Call of Duty Vanguard cup, as well as a Call of Duty Warzone streamer event. Both will feature cash prize pools and both are open for registrations now.

To celebrate a great year shared with all the fabulous local streamers, we have another streamer community event planned.
