EGE 2017 | OUR GAMING PLANS
EGE 2017 is indeed happening at CTICC from 28 to 30 July 2017 and we - along with Zombiegamer - are planning a number of tournaments and gaming activities over the course of that weekend.
The infographic below gives you just a hint of what is planned but we will be detailing and opening required registrations over the course of the next few weeks. There are tournaments planned for Call of Duty, FIFA 17, Injustice 2, PES 2017, additional tournaments (in 'King of the Hill' format) for Rocket League, Dota 2, and a whole lot more. As with EGE 2016, Friday will feature tournaments for school pupils, while plenty of tournament action will be live on the stage all weekend. There will also be some racing over the weekend for those that prefer the virtual smell of burning rubber.
We suggest keeping your eye on the EGE 2017 landing page as well as the tournament page on ACGL for registrations. We will of course notify you via both Zombiegamer and ACGL's various platforms.
Now, before you start asking us about other titles, we should point out that there will also be other tournament operators at the event and we have been told that Dota 2, CS:GO and more will also feature.
Players will require at least a day pass to the expo to compete, while Call of Duty teams will need to secure a weekend pass per player (R220). The great thing for those attending Friday in school uniform (and are legitimate school pupils) is that tickets will be R20 for the day and proceeds will be donated to charity. To pre-purchase your tikets (and we recommend you do so to save money), you can head to Computicket.
Up for grabs in the main tournaments will be cash, while additional products and vouchers will be confirmed as the event draws near.
