Kara Russon is an entrepreneur who owns a shipping and logistics company with her husband. Their business moved millions of Rands in product every day nationally and internationally. They scored a major contract with the South African military to ship their weapons and vehicles. Although this contract would financially secure the family for years to come, it did have its setbacks. The contract came with a lot of secrecy and later a lot of danger towards their company. It was publicly known that their company was shipping the militaries weapons which lead to many attacks on their trucks and warehouses. Kara started to become nervous and frightened for the safety of her family. Kara and her husband had one child together, a daughter. She hired a security company to start traveling with their shipping trucks and private security for her daughter. One night Kara’s husband and daughter were working late at one of their warehouses. The warehouse was raided and they were kidnapped. A special unit of the security company she had hired were able to locate and find the kidnappers and save her daughter. Unfortunately, her husband was wounded during the rescue and died to his wounds.

Kara was working at one of their warehouses when the Scourge began. She had a stockpile of weaponry and trained security at the beginning of the outbreak which led many people to look to them for protection. Durban became completely overrun and they needed to leave, a small group of survivors in Cape Town had reached out to Kara to help them retake the city. When Kara and her group arrived The Order had already wiped out most of the surviving groups that opposed them which led to Kara creating the ACGL Rebellion.
